With the letterhead of the Harvard Club, the letter reads "Dear Miss Watkins, Here's a small item Earle Balch helped me put together. It has had a succes d'estime which is probably more than it deserved and is better than being absolutley "still-born". It is really short. I thought that if you wanted to glance through it before Monday we would be that much further ahead when we met at 11:30. I have turned down the page at The Fight.
